چکیده

This study aimed to investigate the effects of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) inoculants on fermentation quality, microbial compositions, and predicted functional profiles forage oat. The oat was inoculated with distilled water, Lentilactobacillus buchneri (LB), Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (LP) as control (CON), LB LP treatments, respectively, addition (LB) or resulted in 1 × 106 colony-forming units/g fresh weight. After 30 days fermentation, lowest pH (4.23) content ammoniacal nitrogen (NH3-N) dry matter (DM, 4.39%) were observed treatment. Interestingly, there a significant (p < 0.05) difference (LA) concentration among three treatments. treatment had highest lactate (7.49% DM). At same time, markedly elevated acetic (AA) (2.48% DM) detected Shannon Chao1 indexes bacterial fungal communities all silage samples decreased compared those materials (FM). Proteobacteria dominant phylum FM group shifted from Firmicutes after ensiling. Lactobacillus (64.87%) Weissella (18.93%) predominant genera CON, whereas dominated process (94.65%) (99.60%) For community structure, major genus Apiotrichum (21.65% 60.66%) CON groups fermentation. most accounting for 52.54% 34.47%, respectively. Lactococcus, Pediococcus, negatively associated LA content. Ustilago Bulleromyces positively These results suggest that LAB regulated silage, which influenced ensiling products, more beneficial decreasing NH3-N increasing than silage.

The effect of Lactobacillus buchneri 40788 or Lactobacillus plantarum MTD-1 on the fermentation and aerobic stability of corn silages ensiled at two dry matter contents.

Whole-plant corn was harvested at 33 (normal) and 41% (moderately high) dry matter (DM) and ensiled in quadruplicate 20-L laboratory silos to investigate the effects of Lactobacillus buchneri 40788 (LB) or L. plantarum MTD-1 (LP) alone, or in combination, on the fermentation and aerobic stability of the resulting silage. Aerobic stability was defined as the amount of time after exposure to air ...

Effects of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum 11 and Chloride Sodium on Biochemical and Microbiological Quality of Table Olives during Fermentation

Background: Table olives are nutritionally a complete food and considered as one of the oldest fermented products. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum 11 as a starter culture on the fermentation of table olives at two incubation temperatures 22 and 30 °C and different salt concentrations (0, 4, 8, and 12% m/v) of sodium chloride (NaCl). Methods: The ferment...

Effects of Forage Sources on Rumen Fermentation Characteristics, Performance, and Microbial Protein Synthesis in Midlactation Cows

Eight multiparous Holstein cows (632±12 kg BW; 135±16 DIM) were used in a replicated 4×4 Latin square design to evaluate the effects of forage sources on rumen fermentation characteristics, performance, and microbial protein (MCP) synthesis. The forage portion of the diets contained alfalfa hay (AH), oat hay (OH), Leymus chinensis (LC), or rice straw (RS) as the primary source of fiber. Diets w...

Fermentation characteristics and nutritional value of ruminal contents and blood ensiled with untreated or sodium hydroxide-treated wheat straw.

Bovine ruminal contents and blood were ensiled with wheat straw, either untreated or treated with 4% NaOH (DM basis), with and without addition of 5% dry molasses. Proportions of ruminal contents, blood, and straw were 45:15:40, wet basis, respectively. Wheat straw also was ensiled alone, and water was added to attain 43% DM. After 60 d, all silages had a desirable aroma. The pH of the ensiled ...

Effects of combining Lactobacillus buchneri 40788 with various lactic acid bacteria on the fermentation and aerobic stability of corn silage

The objective was to compare the effectiveness of combining Lactobacillus buchneri 40788 with three lactic acid bacteria on the fermentation, aerobic stability and nutritive value of corn silage. Freshly chopped whole plant corn was untreated or treated with L. buchneri 40788 paired with Lactobacillus plantarum, Pediococcus acidilactici, or Pediococcus pentosaceus. L. buchneriwas added to achie...
